By the time late spring arrives, a complete wall has formed. I just plant these directly in the ground in early April in Georgia and they will reach 5' by the end of the summer. All parts of this plant are poisonous if ingested especially the seeds, keep them away from children and pets. The seeds are very attractive and are sometimes used for beads.
