Seeds from this unusual Musa textilis from Borneo. Also known as Manila hemp. The plant grows moderately large and forms a very colorful inflorescence bud. A very easy to grow and highly ornamental banana for the tropics. A good, reliable ornamental for warm temperate and tropical areas. As I have not grown these yet, I can give you no hands on experience only what my supplier tells me about this new offering. The seeds need to be soaked for 24 hrs and then sown 1" deep and kept at 68 - 77 degrees with light. These can take anywhere from 8 weeks to 4 months to germinate. Zones 8-11

Seeds from this banana Musa thomsonii from India. This plant has slender green stems with thin upright leaves. The small 4 inch bananas have quite a few seeds but the pulp is very sweet. Growing to 8 feet this variety is hardy in zones 8B and above. The seeds need to be soaked for 24 hrs and then sown 1 deep and kept at 68 - 77 degrees with light.
