Seeds from this native African banana Ensete ventricosum and is one of the fastest growing of all the bananas. Known to normally grow up to 6 feet in one year. Not producing edible fruit but shows off their unfurling leaves with both red and sometimes white edges. The dark maroon midrib very attractive. This is best grown in large pots as it does not tolerate heavy frosts. Hardy in zones 9-11.

Seeds from this Musa violacea that is hardy to zones 9 to 11. Growing in Brazil, this is thought to be a cross between ornata and velutina. The appearance is very similar to ornata except the bracts are paler and almost white sometimes. This plant is fast grower does not grow much taller than 8 feet. It has pest free foliage and a purplish midrib running down the leaf. This easy to grow plant is very good in containers also. The seeds need to be soaked for 24 hrs and then sown 1 deep and kept at 68 to 77 degrees with light. These can take anywhere from 8 weeks to 4 months to germinate.

Seeds of this Very Rare and easy to grow Musa voonii. New Musa Species from Northern Borneo. The species is abundant in the Lawas area, Sarawak, East Malaysia and in isolated locations within a radius of 200 km from Lawas. Musa voonii is a medium-sized plant with a slender densely clustering, reddish-purple pseudostem to about 10 ft. tall. The inflorescence is held horizontally and produces shiny, deep reddish-purple bracts that are followed by small, pale fruits to 4. 5 in. long. Although seeded, the fruits are quite flavorful. Musa voonii is closely related to M. beccarii. It thrives in hot, humid environments. Zones 7-11
