A well-drained sunny spot is ideal although plants will grow in semi-shade. Hibiscus austrinus var. austrinus

These are seeds from Hibiscus austrinus var. austrinus. An evergreen shrub arranged with alternate, petiolate , heart shaped , hairy on both sides, soft , grayish green leaves with irregular serrated leaf margins. The large, bell shaped golden yellow flowers have a red center that can change depending on the age. Colors will vary from apricot to orange and appear in the leaf axils. This Australian native prefers a frost free environment.
