This loose open form deciduous 3'-4' shrub is hardy from zones 6 - 10b and has something to offer every season.  In the spring many light lavender blossoms appear around the stem nodules which turn into many tightly packed beautiful metallic pearly white berries in the fall.

The dull green, rigid leaves are narrow and up to eight centimetres long. Flower spikes are usually red but green forms do occur. Flower spikes (of both colours) are usually ten centimetres long by five centimetres wide and appear in spring, summer and autumn. Honeyeaters are attracted to the flowers. Best in full sun. Zones 8-11.
