Southern Magnolia grandiflora

 seeds of the beautiful staple of the south, the magnificant Southern Magnolia tree. This tree is the centerpiece of my southern gardens in June-September when in full bloom. Growing up to 40 feet, this drough tolerant tree is very easy to take care of.  Seeds will take up to 6 months to germinate but need no special attention. Hardy in zones 7 and higher with no special winter protection. This specimen plant prefers well drained soil in full or part sun.

Stenocarpus sinuatus Firewheel Tree

Seeds of Stenocarpus sinuatus or Firewheel Tree. This upright growing evergreen tree reaches to 100 feet tall in its native rainforest habitat but is usually seen as a tree 25-30 feet tall by 15 feet wide. It has gray bark with brown branches and it is also notable for its very attractive large 5 to 15 inch long dark green leathery leaves that have wavy margins. The 1 to 1 2 inch long flowers, primarily red or reddish orange with  yellow tips, are arranged with 5 to 20 flowers looking like a red wagon wheel. Zones 10-11.
