Golden Black Eyed Susan Vine or Thunbergia alata seeds Golden Black Eyed Susan Vine or Thunbergia alata. This annual grows very rapidly covering a trellis easily in a couple of months and is very easy to let just wander. The bright golden blossoms with a black center cover this plant from mid summer until late fall and always seem to have some flowers in blossom. These will self sow as you would many annuals and in the spring. I have mine growing up my front bay window frame and even though this is supposed to be an annual, I have had it in bloom for three seasons now.

Hardy in zones 6-9 this vine enjoys lots of blossom in full sunshine. Very easy to grow.

seeds of Gloriosa Lily Lutea also know as Climbing Lily or Flame Lily. A very rare find is this golden yellow variety. A vining type plant that will grow up to 5 feet high if you give it something to climb on. Very unusual in that the tips of the leaves actually turn into little tentacles at the ends and twine onto anything that they can. Each plant produces between 3 and 9 blossoms at a time. At least 6 hours of sunshine a day is required to get the best blooms. Fairly drought tolerant and pretty much carefree and pest free when finally established. Hardy to zone 8 and 9, will die back to the ground with extended cold temperatures but will grow right back in the spring. Be patient these sometimes take 6 months to germinate.

seeds of this Schisandra chinensis or Magnolia Vine. Magnolia Vine is native of E Asia and has elongated oval leaves and clusters of small, whitish-pink flowers, followed by most ornamental, bright red berries. It is one of the most ornamental edible vines you could ever wish to grow. Scratch the bark and an intense, clean fragrance that's a combination of Daphne and lime peel. The flowers of the Magnolia vine are insignificant, but the 4 clusters of bright red berries are gorgeous. Plants are best grown in any humus rich, well drained soil in a partially shaded to sunny spot and is hardy in zones 5-8.
