Starter plant of this wonderfuly unusual Hibiscus Haight Ashbury that has shiny, maple shaped leaves in dark, deep purple thru bright hot pink and pure white. Blooms are dark red and show up in the early fall  This tender perennial subshrub, is hardy only to zone 9b-11, but is easily grown as an annual in colder climates. A wonderful large, up to 4 feet tall and 5 feet wide, a filler for an area that need some brightness quickly.

Here I am offering a Starter Plant of Hibiscus acetosella Mahogany Splendor, also known as Red Leaf Hibiscus, False Roselle, and African Rose Mallow. This small shrub resembles a mini Japanese maple. the 5 to 6 foot plant sends up a lovely mahogany screen of deep burgundy, maple shaped serrated leaves. As such it can be used quite effectively in landscape settings or as a specimen plant. The foliage will have green rust tones in the greenhouse, but these leaves mature to burgundy in full sun outdoors. USDA Hardiness Zones 8 to 11
