Starter plant of this beautiful and very hard to find,  wild Cotton Morning glory or Tievine - Ipomoea cordatotriloba. These 2 inch lavender with darker center blossoms covered this vine (sometimes over 50 blossom at one time) from June thur October in my South Georgia garden. The somewhat heart shaped leaved with the three distinctive lobes account for it's name. Six hours of sunshine and never letting this dry out seemed to be the key to the success of this plant.

Starter plant of this wonderful vine Dioscorea bulbifera also known as Air Potatoes that I grow in pots on my patio. The leaves are 2" to 6" wide, very shiny, heart shaped and deeply veined. The flowers are produced in the fall and hang down with small white starlike buds and are very attractive. This plant is known as air potatoes as they form small bulbs along the vines as they grow. They will form a beautiful vine for the patio and along a trellis or quick growth for a covered patio area. I have had three plants on my patio for the past years and find that pests or diseases are not a problem with them. I do not use any chemicals on my plants and therefore at certain times of the year you are able to find nibbles here and there on the most of the host plants for butterflies.

GLORIOSA LILY LUTEA Rare Flame Lily

seedling of Gloriousa Lily Lutea also know as Climbing Lily or Flame Lily. A very rare find is this golden yellow variety. A vining type plant that will grow up to 5 feet high if you give it something to climb on. Very unusual in that the tips of the leaves actually turn into little tentacles at the ends and twine onto anything that they can. Each plant produces between 3 and 9 blossoms at a time. At least 6 hours of sunshine a day is required to get the best blooms. Fairly drought tolerant and pretty much carefree and pest free when finally established. Hardy to zone 8 and 9, will die back to the ground with extended cold temperatures but will grow right back in the spring. I have had good luck with both planting in the ground and in containers in my zone 8b area. Can be dug up in colder areas and stored in peat moss over the winter. Do not let dry out during the six to eight week resting period, just keep moist not wet. Plant flat two to three inches below the surface. The tubers will double each year if you do not cut the flowers before they have faded
