very unusual Southern Shrub Hibiscus Mutabilis or Cotton rose. This is the very hard to find species that is single petaled. The white blossom turn from white to pink and then red. This plant is a very fast grower will get 10 to 12 feet high and 8 to 10 feet across. Hardy in zones 8-10, this plant does overwinter outside in my zone 8B area but does usually lose all its leaves if we have a killing frost, but comes back to blossom again in the summer.
